It all started in Pargas Kalkkivuori, and as a result, Oy Parlok Ab's history also dates to 1959 after Partek Oy established its own business unit for plastic products. Parlok started operations as an independent company in 1970, and over time the emphasis on the product range has changed from construction industry products to mudguard and spray prevention systems to improve road safety, as well as to tool-boxes and other accessories for commercial vehicles. In these products, Parlok is a pioneer in international development and one of the strongest players in the industry in Europe, relying on a strong international distribution network. In addition to automotive products, we also manufacture PE and PP for use by the rest of the plastics industry.
Our operations rely on a unique, self-developed and efficient production machine and strong investment in product development. With these capabilities, we continuously develop our basic products further and create cost-effective customer solutions. We look openly to the future and look for opportunities for new products. Our customers know us especially for fast delivery capability, flexibility, reliability, and high product quality.
The Lahti branch is responsible for distributing Parlok products and heavy vehicle equipment components to the Finnish and Baltic regions. High quality products are designed for demanding weather conditions in the northern territory.
Since 2025 Parlok is a part of Axel Johnson International that is a privately owned Swedish industrial group operating globally. The group has a dedicated long-term approach to ownership, emphasizing sustainable progress and collaboration. The focus lies on acquisitions and the development of companies, specializing in technical components and industrial solutions.
